Social Workers Essential Self Education

When was the last time you read a book on technology in education? One of the roles social workers have with their clients is educator. Professors are not the only one's needing to keep up to date on how technology is changing the course of learning. If we are working with anyone over four there should be an awareness of how technology is integrated into our clients lives. Vulnerable populations are especially at risk for becoming left behind if our awareness does not include the impact of technology on their lives. Until the social work profession begins to offer technology continuing education as a mandate, social workers must self study this area.
